New Mandala readers in the United Kingdom may be keen to know that on 28-30 June 2007 a conference on “Wellbeing in International Development” will be held at the University of Bath.
This conference will showcase a comparative research project on four countries – Thailand, Peru, Ethiopia and Bangladesh. More information on the Thailand component of this project is available from these websites. The two main field sites for this research are in the south and the northeast. Khonkaen and Prince of Songkla Universities are the collaborating Thai partners.
There are reportedly some spaces still available for the upcoming conference and, apart from accommodation or food costs, there are no conference fees.
Thanks to Susan Upton for passing on the information about this interesting event.
