Studying Southeast Asia, particularly when you are a Canberran, who lives in England, often requires long flights back and forth. After a very productive stint in the region over the past few months, I will be travelling back to Oxford later today. After years spent working, researching and studying both in Thailand and in neighbouring countries, I am getting used to the rituals of packing and saying goodbye.
I will inevitably be blogging fewer eye-witness accounts over the next few months. I will, of course, still endeavour to feed elements of my field notes, and other tidbits, into the blog so that my posts keep their distinctive feel.
Dr Andrew Walker and I are currently exploring some exciting options for further developing the site. We appreciate the continued interest of our growing number of regular readers. We are also very open to reader’s suggestions and ideas. If you have a comment, please let us know.
