Earlier in the year I recorded an interview with Nurul Izzah Anwar, a rising star of the Malaysian political scene, when she visited the Australian National University. Nurul Izzah, along with the rest of her family, is very prominent in the Bersih 2.0 movement which took to the streets of Kuala Lumpur over the weekend.
With tensions in Malaysia so high I thought it worth drawing New Mandala readers’ attention to the earlier interview. It is available here. Reader comments on recent events in Kuala Lumpur are, of course, very welcome.
In the days ahead, New Mandala‘s Malaysia Editor, Gregore Lopez, will continue to source anecdote, analysis and new perspectives that will help us all to better understand events.
