The 2013 Myanmar/Burma Update Conference is just around the corner. Since last year, a small group in the Australian National University’s College of Asia and the Pacific have been working towards the event and we are all excited that a packed program has been assembled. Myanmar’s Deputy Minister for Deputy Minister for National Planning and Economic Development, Winston Set Aung, is joined on the program by the likes of Ian Holliday, Daw Than Than Nu, Maung Aung Myoe, Sean Turnell, Seng Maw Lahpai and Andrew Selth.
If you are still looking to register it is possible to do so online. It is also worth noting that we have now moved to a new venue to accommodate the larger-than-expected audience. We will be in the Leonard Huxley Building (Building 56) rather than the usual Hedley Bull Centre.
If you have any questions about the conference you can get them answered at this address. On a personal note, I look forward to seeing many New Mandala readers there.
