For New Mandala readers who can’t get enough Thailand related commentary, a blog by Bangkok Pundit may be worth your time. It focusses on Thaksin and the woes of the South.

I can’t vouch for the author (who I don’t know) and can’t even provide an aside about their credentials or experience. On the “about” page, they merely say:

I don’t intend to disclose who I am or what I do. I currently don’t live in Thailand, but did live there for a number of years.

That’s cool, I guess.

Bangkok Pundit has lots of interesting tid-bits and a consistently pro-Thaksin bent. While certainly not always in step with my own views, the site provides a nice change from most other contemporary English-language commentators – whether professional, amateur or cry-baby. Check it out.
