Today I will be representing New Mandala in the world’s first Asia-Pacific Master Blogging Challenge, live at the ANU from 11 AM. There will be a mystery basket of ingredients (revealed at 10.30) from which the master bloggers will have to create a tasty post.
The ANU College of Asia and the Pacific hosts some of the world’s most prominent Asia-themed academic blogs. With New Mandala, East Asia Forum and South Asia Masala leading the way the College is home to an emerging tradition of achievement in academic blogging. Blogging breaks new ground for many academics. Its immediacy, the opportunities to take ideas to a wide public, and the potential for open debate and discussion are all big advantages of blogging.
In 2011, Asia Pacific Week will witness the first annual Asia Pacific Master Blogging Challenge. This will be a chance for some of the best bloggers from around the College, and beyond, to showcase their talents in a live and interactive format. The bloggers will be expected to demonstrate skill, flair, precision and time management in an auditorium atmosphere where the audience will crown the 2011 Asia Pacific Master Blogger.
The details of the four competitors are here.
I am hoping to have my post up around 11.40 (Canberra time) so go to the Master Blog site and post your comments!
