Trevor Wilson retired in August 2003 after more than 36 years as a member of the Australian foreign service, and after serving as Australian Ambassador to Myanmar (2000-03).
Trevor is a former Visiting Fellow on Myanmar/Burma at the Department of Political & Social Change, School of International, Political & Strategic Studies, Australian National University. He is currently a member of the advisory panel for the ANU Myanmar Research Centre.
From 2004, Trevor Wilson was co-convener of the Myanmar/Burma Update conference series at the Australian National University.
He has (co)-edited six volumes of the Myanmar/Burma Update conference papers. He has written numerous articles and opinion pieces, and given many interviews about the situation in Myanmar/Burma.
He has visited Myanmar periodically and has travelled extensively around the country.
