Julio C. Teehankee is Professor of Political Science and International Studies at De La Salle University, and is President of the Philippine Political Science Association (PPSA). He has published extensively on the topics of elections, party politics, and political dynasties. He is currently co-authoring a book with Professor Mark R. Thompson on the Philippine presidency.
Yuko Kasuya is Professor of Political Science in the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Law, Keio University. She serves as Vice President of the International Political Science Association (IPSA). Her research interests include Philippine politics, the comparative politics of Southeast Asia, regime transition and political institutions. She is the author of “Presidential Bandwagon: Parties and Party Systems in the Philippines” (Anvil, 2009), and is editing a new book on political regime formation at the time of decolonisation across East, Southeast and South Asia.
