Sally White is a research fellow at the Department of Political and Social Change at the Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs, Australian National University. Her research focuses on Islam and gender in Indonesia. Since 2008 she has been the academic manager of the Partnerships in Islamic Education Scheme.
Edward Aspinall researches and teaches the politics of Southeast Asia at the same department. His most recent book, ‘Democracy for sale: elections, clientelism and the state in Indonesia’, is co-authored with Ward Berenschot and available from Cornell University Press.
