Nick Kuipers is a PhD student in the Department of Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley. Before returning to the United States, he worked at Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting in Jakarta as a researcher.

Gareth Nellis is assistant professor of political science at the University of California, San Diego. His research addresses the extent to which elections serve as instruments of inclusion or exclusion in developing democracies.

Michael Weaver is assistant professor of political science at the University of British Columbia. He is interested in the politics of violence. In particular, he studies the legitimation of state and non-state violence as well as the causes and consequences of ethnic conflict.
