Danang Widoyoko is a PhD candidate at the Department of Political and Social Change in the Australian National University’s Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs. His research focuses on the political economy of the construction sector in Jakarta during the Jokowi–Ahok era.

From 2009 to 2014 he was the Executive Director of Indonesia Corruption Watch, a leading anti-corruption NGO based in Jakarta.
