Anthony Lawrence Borja is a PhD candidate in the Public Administration program of Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SJTU-SIPA). He is currently serving as an Assistant Professorial Lecturer and coordinator for the Challenges to Democracy Research Cluster in the Department of Political Science and Development Studies of De La Salle University. His current research projects are on democratic theory, political participation, citizenship, illiberalism, and popular sovereignty.
