On Friday, 23 July 2010, the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific’s Department of Political and Social Change and Regulatory Institutions Network organised a two hour event on Burma’s upcoming election. The title of this forum was “If neither free nor fair, then what?”. Short presentations were made by Michael Maley from the Australian Electoral Commission, Zaw Naing Wynn, a Canberra-based Burma advocate, Siri Mon Chan from the Australia-Mon Association, and the ANU’s Morten Pedersen, Nick Cheesman, Trevor Wilson and Nicholas Farrelly. A podcast of proceedings is available here.
