Anders Engvall is a Research Fellow at Stockholm School of Economics where he has done research on Thailand’s southern conflict for more than a decade. His work on the south has focused on developing Deep South Incident Database, a dataset tracking all violent incidents in the region. He has also done work on subnational conflicts in Myanmar, the Philippines and Indonesia.

He has a PhD in Economics from Stockholm School of Economics and has worked for the Swedish Government at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
